Try to subtly do the magazine-speak method of 'you possibly remember', 'Like you once said', 'obviously when I was here last time...(or mysteriously use we)', 'you already will know...', 'you may recall', 'last time I came here as you know...', 'this house is where...', on the previous venture I climbed inside the melted boat and rested beneath the dust covered planks and tarps...', 'when I last walked this spokee xx happened', 'this time...', 'this time nothing of the sort occurred. Perhaps the change in you with regard to the current theme could work like this: 'last time I thought this now I see that the opposite is the case'.

Things that you believe: anti-wealth, helpfulness, anonymity, flow, listening.. they could be represented in graffiti. Each individual spoke having graffiti about its own theme. Not only grafitti, overheard conversation, pop song, ringtone of wise people speaking, painting, art, statues, T shirts, stickers, backpacks, tattoos.

PLACES TO SLEEP
The concept that The London Spokes routes provide lots of mysterious places to sleep. No real explanation. All filled with wonder or magic or crazy or Sci fi or sex. No explanation they don't need to be paid for or booked. Just always there. This is the freedom of the main character. Eternal wanderer cared for by the universe.at least as far as accomodation. They are not all houses. He has the ability to sense them. Make it like entrances to an extent. The plaque says Jesus stayed here during the smog. It's not all houses. Underground bunkers. Other dimensions (no explanation). Inside a lamppost or a dog. Tonight's sleeping place was an unusual one. I became suddenly miniatures and so was able to climb inside an apparently discarded golf ball. Several floors inside connected by steep wooden ladders. I had a really good explore as always.
